Roofing Inspection
A look at the visible roof covering, drainage, and flashing for signs of wear or damage.
The roof is a home's first line of defense against Kentucky weather. During the roofing portion of an inspection, we look at the visible roof covering, drainage features, flashing, and related components for signs of wear, damage, or areas that may warrant attention. We inspect most roofs using a drone, depending on weather, overhanging trees, and other site conditions; drone use is at the inspector's discretion and is included at no additional charge.
Kentucky weather swings between hot, humid summers and freezing, icy winters, and your roof takes the brunt of it. During the roofing portion of an inspection, we look at the visible roof covering from accessible vantage points and note conditions that may warrant attention — such as damaged, missing, or aging shingles, areas where flashing has degraded, and gutters or downspouts that aren't draining as they should.
We inspect most roofs using a drone, depending on weather, overhanging trees, and other site conditions. Drone use is at the inspector's discretion and is included at no additional charge. A home inspection is a visual evaluation, not a warranty or a technically exhaustive roofing assessment. We can't see every square inch of every roof, and we won't walk a roof that isn't safe to access. What we can do is point out visible conditions and recommend further evaluation by a qualified roofing professional when something warrants it.
